3D Barn.com is pleased to announce the results of its Inaugural 3D Content Competition. The competition for the best 3D file submitted to 3D Barn.com prior to October 31st 2007, from anyone anywhere in the world, was open to amateurs and professional artists alike. The panel of judges, comprised of 3D specialists, looked at criteria that included overall artistic aesthetic, 3D effect, spatial perception and impact, and technical achievement.

Congratulations are in order for Cecile Muller (wildpeaks), from France, whose entry Red Bedroom garnered first place and the Grand Prize of a new Spatial View 19" Gamer's Delight auto-stereoscopic display, PowerPlayer software, and the SVI MaxPlug-in. No glasses are needed to see 3D games, movies, models, photos, and art on the display. The SVI MaxPlug-in makes it simple for work created in Autodeskr 3ds Maxr to be displayed auto-stereoscopically as well as in more traditional 3D formats like anaglyph (red/cyan glasses).

On winning the prize, Cecile Muller, a professional 3D artist had this to say: "Thanks a lot. I like Spatial View's 3D screens a lot, which is how I found out about this contest. I'm happy such communities like 3D Barn.com exist. I love VRML myself, and it's going to look great on my new screen!"

2nd Place was awarded to Nicole Wagner (nicole1313), from Austria, for her stereo work, Dual Wielding Sword Lady. She will receive the latest version of the SVI MaxPlug-in, as will Christophe Chivot (chris_nc), from France, for his 3rd Place prize, for his Luxo Jr.  entry. The winning works and many others can all be seen at www.3dbarn.com. 3D Barn.com and Spatial View offer hearty congratulations to the winners and would like to thank all participants for their efforts.

The contest, sponsored by Spatial View Inc., marked the first months of 3D Barn.com's existence and the participation of its first batch of members. Spatial View, a pioneer of multi-user glasses-free 3D, offers a series of affordable, high quality, auto-stereoscopic displays as well as an innovative software portfolio that enables the stereo display of 3D data of all types, in any 3D format, and on any stereo device.
