IBM demonstrates new 3D display capabilities
for Second Life utilizing Spatial View's technology
NEW YORK, New York - Spatial View Inc., a leading developer of 3D image processing and display technologies, today announced that IBM will be showcasing its technology (at booth #27) which enables a new level of realism for Second Life players at the Virtual Worlds Conference 2008, at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
IBM is demonstrating Spatial View's 3D display engine for Second Life on 19-inch multiuser displays. This demonstration reveals a new level of realism and depth perception to online gaming and virtual worlds such as Second Life.
Second Life is a 3D online world with a rapidly growing population from 100 countries around the globe, in which the participants themselves create and build the world, which includes homes, vehicles, nightclubs, stores, landscapes and clothing.
