Big I Entertainment and Spatial View pair off
Spatial View Inc., Toronto, Canada and Big I Entertainment, Seoul, Korea today announced the signing of a general partnership agreement revolving around the joint promotion and distribution of Spatial View 3D technology and Big I Entertainment 3D content. The alignment pairs Big I Entertainment, one of Korea's leading makers and distributors of virtual reality, theme park ride films, and 3D games, with Spatial View, whose cutting edge 3D software and display technology allows movies and animation to be seen in true 3D without the need for stereo glasses or other optical aids.
Under the terms of the agreement, Big I Entertainment will act as the Korean agent and distributor of Spatial View 3D technology: the auto-stereoscopic displays and supporting software that integrates 3D viewing within most popular graphical applications. Spatial View's series of multi-user and single-user 3D screens offer general consumers a high quality and affordable, glasses-free 3D viewing experience that is perfect for the latest 3D movies and animation.
Also as part of the agreement, Big I Entertainment's unique library of VR and 3D films and games that are specifically designed to focus on full dimensionality and heightened sensation, will be distributed for display in Spatial View 3D and through SVI's web channels. The coupling of Big I Entertainment's 3D offerings with Spatial View's display technology will bring the 3D/VR experience directly to the home market.
According to Mr. Beat Raemy, CEO of Spatial View "this partnership is about expanding the 3D market by bringing Spatial View into the Korean marketplace via Big I's distribution network and opening a new venue for the display and broadcast of their innovative and dynamic 3D/VR content with our technology and channels."
The National Science Museum, mecca of Korea's exhibitions for science and technology, has introduced Spatial View's glasses-free multi-view 3D display in the Next-Generation Display Corner of New-Technology Exhibition Hall. As the first showcase of the breakthrough display technology in Korea, the exhibit in the National Science Museum is building awareness of 3D technology and marks the first milestone in Big I and Spatial View's efforts to convert the conventional 2D display market to 3D. "The joint force of the pairing of Spatial View's display technology and Big I Entertainment's contents development will become the focal point of the 3D movement in Korea," says Mr. Yong-suk Choi, President of Big I Entertainment.
