Halifax, NS - Spatial View Inc. and The Centre for Arts and Technology, Halifax Campus, are pleased to announce a new partnership to bring auto-stereoscopic 3D to the forefront of digital media education.

Spatial View's cutting edge technology, a software program that displays movies, animations, photos, and 3D models in true 3D fashion on LCD displays without the need for 3D glasses or any other optical aid, will be incorporated into The Centre's digital media programs. The software which assists in displaying Maya and Flash created animations and movies in 3D, will give students the opportunity to explore the 3D digital environment as never before.

The Halifax campus of the Centre for Arts and Technology will begin using Spatial View software in its 3D Animation and 3D Game Animation programs as well as in its Graphics and Digital Media Design programs immediately.

"To date, our students are receiving the latest technology in Digital Entertainment Arts," states Kendall O'Connor, Marketing Manager, for The Centre. "With the addition of Spatial View's state of the art software, The Centre is able to once again offer a unique product to our educational programming."

The Halifax campus will be the first of the Centre's schools to add Spatial View 3D to the curriculum in order to train future content developers in 3D use, techniques for optimizing media for auto-stereoscopic as well as other types of 3D display. Students at The Centre will create their work in a true 3D environment and see the results in brilliant, glasses-free 3D. In addition to having their work shown on campus auto-stereoscopically, the students will also have the opportunity to display their 3D scholastic endeavors through SVI's web channels.

"We're thrilled to have a really enthusiastic and dedicated partner in The Centre's Halifax campus," says Mike Bienstock of Spatial View. "The level of work being done by students at The Centre is quite impressive and we're pleased to be able to add something more in the way of 3D to what is already a very special program."
